Earlier, I posted ESPN.com writer Mark Schlabach's Way-Too-Early Top 25 poll for the 2012 college football season.
Well, here's SI.com's version. While Schlabach has Florida State pegged as the No. 8 team
, Andy Staples has the Seminoles at No. 17.
I ask again, what do you think? Is No. 17 more reasonable than No. 8? Send me a tweet to @BrandonMellor
and let me know.

|Florida State Seminoles
|2011 record: 9-4
The announcements that defensive end Brandon Jenkins and cornerback Xavier Rhodes will return lends further credence to the idea that Florida State could be much, much better next year. The Seminoles will get several offensive linemen back from injury, and some of their young linemen showed promise at the end of 2011. Rashad Greene would be the best receiver in the ACC if Sammy Watkins didn't play in the ACC. This all sounds fantastic, but I'm not letting FSU make a fool of me again. I buy in every year, and every year I look stupid. (Now watch the Seminoles compete for a national title and make me look like an idiot again.)
