Tallahassee, FL – The No. 25/21 Florida State men’s and women’s track and field teams concluded its stint at the historic, 110th Penn Relays with two relay teams in the finals.
The men’s 4x400m relay team comprised of Seniors Tony Martin (Seminole, FL/Sanford Seminole) and Sean Campbell (Orlando, FL/Evans), sophomore Rafeeq Curry (Miami, FL/ACE Academy) and freshman Antonio Cromartie (Tallahassee, FL/Lincoln) continued its high level of competition, running a 3:08.10 – faster than the qualifying time the group posted yesterday.
Freshman Dana Massiah (Trinidad & Tobago/Bishop Aenesty), sophomore LaKendra McColumn (Lithonia, GA/Southwest Dekalb), sophomore Kim Adams (Stone Mountain, GA/Stone Mountain) and senior Tamara Campbell (Orlando, FL/Evans) ran a 3:39.81 in the 4x400m relay, the third fastest time of the season.
Sophomore Andrew Diakos (Naples, FL/Barron-Collier) threw his third farthest mark of the season, posting a 189’8″ (57.82m) distance in the hammer throw. Senior Joe Paiva (Levittown, PA/Truman) finished the 400m hurdles race in 53.61.
The Seminoles travel to Gainesville, FL to compete against the Gators in the FSU/Florida dual meet on Sunday, May 2, 2004.
