Spring is in the air, so it’s that time again . . . time for the 2nd Annual Seminole Softball Home run Derby!
Florida State athletes, athletics administrators and members of the media will converge at the Seminole Softball Complex on Sunday after the FSU vs. Virginia Tech game at 1:00 p.m. to vie for a chance to be named the 2005 Home run Champion. Each participant will be divided among two teams and will have the chance to record three outs. There is no limit to the number of home runs that a participant can hit.
Seminole pitching coach Megan Matthews Buning will be in the circle throwing, and the entire Seminole softball squad will be participate by shagging balls and offering advice to the participants.
Last year’s winner representing the Strength & Conditioning department, Matt Ray, will be the first to step to the plate.
The event is free of charge and open to the public.
