MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Seniors Brent Burkman and Brett Petersen
completed their second day of competition at the 2000 NCAA Men’s
Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. Burkman competed
in the 3-meter diving with Petersen swimming the 100 Breast.
After finishing 25th in the 1-meter diving on Thursday, Burkman
moved up five spots to clinch 20th in the 3-meter diving with a score of
487.70. Petersen, who finished 2nd in the 100 Breast at the ACC
Championships, was disqualified in the preliminaries of the event and
did not swim in the evening session.
The Seminoles will conclude competition tomorrow in Minneapolis.
Burkman will dive in the 10m platform competition while Petersen swims
in the 200 Breast.
