The Florida State swimming and diving teams are set to host another CSCAA top-25 squad when it welcomes No. 7/11 Louisville on Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Bobby E. Leach Center.
“We’re just coming off of facing Florida and now we’re moving on to Louisville,” FSU head coach Frank Bradley said. “We’ve got another great meet coming up at Auburn in a couple of weeks and this type of competition is keeping this group focused and ready to go.”
The women are 5-5 on the season, while the 23rd-ranked men boast a 3-3 record. Between both teams, Louisville will be the 18th and 19th ranked squads the Seminoles have faced this season. The men are 1-1-1 on the year while the men are 2-1.
“Swimming against the best makes us better,” sophomore Chad Mylin said. “Swimming against the best teams in the country helps us elevate our game and Louisville is another good team. They always have good relays and good sprinters and I’m looking forward to racing their best guys and see what we can do.”
Friday’s session will contain nine events while 10 events will be contested on Saturday. Live timing will be available on Seminoles.com and on the meet mobile app.
“The Leach Center can get pretty loud,” Bradley said. “It’s a pool where it’s good to have experience racing in it. I think it will be a great environment.”
