TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The No. 20 Florida State softball team will compete in its final midweek game of the season Wednesday on the campus of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.
The Seminoles (37-12) enter their 50th game on the season after putting an end to an uncharacteristic losing streak this past Sunday. FSU earned a 3-1 victory over Virginia Tech in its last outing.
The ‘Noles and Jaguars (18-19) met for the first time ever last season in Tallahassee. In that game, FSU ran away with a 6-1 win behind stellar pitching from Terese Gober, Sarah Hamilton and Lauren Varsalona and clutch hitting by Carly Wynn, Mallory Borden, Ashley Stager and Brittany Joseph.
Game time for Wednesday is 5 p.m. CT/6 p.m. ET and live stats can be accessed by clicking here.
Florida State’s game against South Alabama will be followed by the final home series of the season starting Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m. FSU will square off against Atlantic Coast Conference-leading Georgia Tech in the doubleheader before meeting one more time on Sunday at noon.
After the second game on Saturday, there will be a Dugout Club Social. The event is free to Dugout Club members and $5 for anyone else that wishes to attend.
