TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The No. 16 Florida State softball team will take on Central Florida Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Orlando, Fla.
All the action can be followed via Gametracker.
The Seminoles (33-7, 6-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) are looking to bounce back after having their seven-game winning streak halted this past Sunday at the University of Maryland. Like the ‘Noles, the Knights (22-16, 7-4 Conference USA) are aiming to get back on the winning track after falling in three-straight games to East Carolina last weekend.
While FSU boasts a top-20 national ranking, UCF is no stranger to knocking off the big dogs. Already this year, Central Florida has defeated No. 16 Tennessee, No. 9 Alabama and No. 22 Ohio State.
The Seminoles boast a 9-4 all-time record in the series history but UCF has won the last two meetings.
Following the game against the Knights, FSU will return to Tallahassee and to conference action. The Seminoles host NC State this weekend in a three-game set that starts with a Saturday doubleheader and one game Sunday.
The first game Saturday, which has a first pitch slated for 1:06 p.m., will be aired on Sun Sports.
