Chief Osceola and renegade are one of the best traditions in college football. The crowd gets pumped the players get pumped with the anticipation. When that spear is raised in the air and comes down driving into the dirt. That is the sign that the war is fixing to start and its going to be a battle. The opponent is intimidated just by our mascot and the excitement it brings to the fans its overwhelming to the opponents. The Seminole mascot also represents the Seminole tribe and Chief Osceola, it brings in the spirit of the Unconquered. Even though we may lose a battle our spirit is still of a champion and they will keep fighting. Even though the Seminoles lost they never lost their pride. The 2011 Seminoles will represent this heart and intensity of coming back from losing to winning and have the potential to dominate college football again. This mascot not only is for a team it is for a People group with a Unconquered spirit and a vision for us to never give up no matter how many battles you lose. FSU there mascot is more than just that and will always be the best traditions in college football. Most teams mascots represent stupid poems and songs, Florida State represents so much more.
