FSU Welcomes BYU To Tallahassee For Spring Exhibition

Tallahassee, Fla. – Florida State women’s soccer is back in action on Friday, April 4 when the Seminoles take on Brigham Young University in their final home exhibition match of the spring season at the Seminole Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.

Florida State is unbeaten this spring posting a record of 2-0-1. After posting a scoreless draw against Georgia to kickoff the exhibition season, FSU has won two straight games posting a pair of 2-0 victories over Auburn and Florida.

Friday’s contest versus the Cougars is a benefit game as donations of any dollar amount will be accepted at the gate. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Grassroots Soccer Organization. Grassroots Soccer is a non-profit organization that fosters community involvement through youth outreach projects, long-term partnerships and special social events. The organization utilizes professional soccer players in Africa to educate African youth on HIV/AIDS prevention as well as providing peer educators and advocates with lifelong community support.

Fans donating towards the cause will receive one raffle ticket for every $2 donated. A drawing will be held at halftime with the winner receiving an authentic Florida State Soccer jersey signed by 2007 MAC Hermann Trophy winner Mami Yamaguchi.
