The Florida State women’s basketball team takes time to show elementary and middle school girls how to play basketball like a Seminole. At the annual spring league, girls have the oppotunity to come learn how to pass, dribble, play defense, and shoot free-throws and lay-ups.
The girls rotate to different stations where a Seminole player teaches them how to properly perform the skill. The girls take the individual skills they learned during the stations and use them during games. Spring league is held the first three Monday’s in April for a two hour session at the basketball training center. Parents are welcomed to cheer on the girls as they sit on the sideline to show their support.
