FSU Women’s Golf Finishes Eighth At Bryan National Collegiate

Brown Summit, N.C. — The Florida State Women’s golf team finished in
eight place at the Bryan National Collegiate in Brown Summit, NC. with a
total score of 932. The Lady Seminoles were 36 strokes behind tournament
winner and ACC rival, Wake Forest.

Junior Louise Wright led Florida State with a second place finish.
Wright carded a score of 222 (75-72-75) to finish three strokes behind
UNC’s Marcy Newton. This is the third top ten finish for Wright this
season.

Tallahassee native, Alison Zimmer followed Wright with a 32nd place
finish. Zimmer had a final score of 234 (76-80-78). Other Seminoles
scores were: Beth McCumber (t-45, 21-over, 237), Kristin Tamulis (t-50,
24-over, 240), and Kristen Sanborn (t-67, 31-over, 247).

The next tournament for the Tribe is the Ryder State Championships in
Miami, FL on March 31-April 2.
