FSU Women’s Golf Moves To 12th At Lady Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida State Women’s golf team moved up one
spot to finish the second round of the SunTRust Lady Gator Invitational in
12th place. The team shot a 316, statying ahead of Vanderbilt, Miami and
Kentucky. Junior Louise Wright leads the Tribe with a score of 155. Wright
is tied for 19th place with six other golfers.

Teammates Kristin Tamulis moved up 15 spots to finish the day in 37th
place. Tamulis shot a 77 which was the team low for the day. Other
Seminoles finishers include Alison Zimmer in 55th place, Beth McCumber in
59th place and Kristen Sanborn in 64th place.

Auburn continues to lead the field, followed by University of South
Carolina, Furman and Florida. Furman’s Jennifer Perri has a five strokes
lead over Kristy McPherson of South Carolina and Monica Gundersrud of
University of Central Florida. Final roubnd action begins tomorrow at 8:00
