FSU Women’s Tennis Competes In Roberta Alison Fall Classic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State women’s tennis team traveled to Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend for the Roberta Alison Fall Classic. The Classic begins a fall schedule for the Lady Seminoles that consists of four tournaments, including the Lady Seminole Classic, October 15-17.

Representing FSU in the Singles A Draw were junior Nanette Duxin, sophomore Jessica Balbuena, and sophomore Alida Gallovits. Each of the three women won their first round match and Gallovits made it all the way to the semifinals. In the Singles C Draw, seniors Ali Weber and Kia Asberg have advanced to the finals, each winning in straight sets Saturday. The two will meet Sunday morning for the Singles C Championship.

The Lady Seminoles will return home following Sunday’s action and will be back on the courts Friday, October 1st, for the first day of the three-day University of South Carolina Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
