Tallahassee, Fla. – The No. 29 Florida State women’s tennis team (9-5, 4-1) will resume play against No. 25 Wake Forest on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. The Seminoles match was halted at the beginning of the singles portion of the lineup due to rain. FSU took the doubles point from the visiting Deacons, taking matches at the one and three positions. Senior Mihaela Moldovan (Bucharest, Romania/Emil Racovita) and junior Lindsay Deason (Ft. Myers, Fla./Boca Raton Prep) won in the top slot, beating Ashlee Davis and Katie Martzolf, 8-3.

At the number two position, sophomore co-captain Roxanne Clarke (Cape Town, South Africa/Clapham) and senior Amberly Tantee (Dana Point, Calif./Futures) lost to #15 Alex Hirsch and Karin Coetzee to even the score at one match per team.

Junior co-captain Miranda Foley (Cambridge, England/Houston) and freshman Tapiwa Marobela (Garborone, Botswana/Clapham) clinched the doubles point with a win at the number three position. The pair beat Blakely Offutt and Danielle Schwartz 8-4.
