FSU WOMEN’S TENNIS PREPARES TO PLAY NO. 14 UNC AND NO. 2 DUKE
TALLAHASSEE, FL.- The Florida State women’s tennis team currently stand at 9-7 for the season and 1-1 in ACC play as they prepare to take on conference opponents North Carolina and Duke this upcoming weekend. The match against the 14th-ranked Tar Heels is scheduled for Saturday, March 31st at 1:00 p.m., while the Seminoles will battle No. 2 Duke on Sunday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m.


Junior Alida Gallovits, currently ranked No. 68 by the ITA in singles, received ACC Player of the Week honors earlier this month and will try to lead the Florida State women against some very tough competition on the road. The Tar Heels have three players in the ITA singles ranking, while the Blue Devils have four, all of which are in the top 50.


After the match against Duke the Florida State women will be back in action on Saturday, April 7th at 12:00 p.m., as they are scheduled to take on Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.
