TALLAHASSEE, FL.–The 39th-ranked Florida State women’s tennis team are currently riding a two-match winning streak and have compiled a 8-6 record so far this season against tough non-conference opponents. Now the Seminoles are ready to take on teams in the competitive Atlantic Coast Conference.
The experience of playing in the ACC for women’s tennis is probably a lot like it is for basketball,” said Florida State head coach Lise Gregory. There are several top ranked teams like Duke, Wake Forest, and North Carolina, and the overall level of competition is high. Every ACC match will be tough.”
First up for the Noles is a match against No. 63 Virginia on Sunday March 18th at 10:00 a.m. Florida State leads the Cavaliers 12-1 in the all-time series. The women will be back in action on Monday March 19th at 2:30 p.m. when they host Maryland for the 9th time in the history of the program with FSU leading the all-time series 7-1.
All Florida State home matches are played on the varsity courts at Scott Speicher Tennis Center in Tallahassee, FL.
