TALLAHASSEE, FL. – The 21st ranked Florida State women’s tennis team lost a heart breaker to No. 71 Alabama in the second match of the season. The Seminole’s record falls to 1-1 for the year.
After dropping the doubles point, Florida State tried to gain the momentum back in singles. Alida Gallovits won in straight sets at the No. 1 position for the Seminoles and remains undefeated for the season. Christina Denny at No. 2 also picked up her second win for the year in straight sets. Jessica Balbuena was winning in the third set at the No. 3 position when her opponent defaulted.
