Tallahassee, Fla. –
Diagnostic arthroscopic surgery was performed on FSU defensive tackle Darnell Dockett’s left knee on Friday. The surgery revealed that all ligament structures were intact and looked good according to the FSU Sports Medicine staff.
FSU team physician Dr. Tom Haney performed the surgery, which revealed that the impact injury and non-displaced fracture Dockett suffered in the Virginia Tech game were healing well. No additional surgery will be necessary and he will begin rehabilitation immediately. He is expected to miss FSU’s spring drills and off-season conditioning which begin February 7.
