FSU’s Family Weekend Features Plenty Of Seminole Action

Florida State University is bringing back an old tradition with the first Family Weekend in decades. Family Weekend, April 2-3, promises a variety of activities designed to appeal to students and their relatives of all ages, including a whole lot of Seminole athletics action! Some of the highlights of the weekend include the annual President’s Ice Cream Social, FSU’s Flying High Circus and a Fish Fry.


Athletically-speaking, the Florida State baseball team will host NC State in a three-game series at Dick Howser Stadium beginning Friday at 7 p.m. Saturday’s meeting will also be at 7 p.m. while the series finale is Sunday at 1 p.m. FSU’s women’s tennis team will host ACC-foes Georgia Tech, Saturday at 11 a.m. and Clemson, Sunday at Noon at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center. The Seminole softball team will open ACC play with a doubleheader vs. Georgia Tech Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Seminole Softball Complex. Football fans will get a glimpse of the 2004 Seminoles when the annual Garnet and Gold spring football game is played Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gene Cox Stadium.
