FSU’s McDougall Named ACC Baseball Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Florida State’s Marshall McDougall garnered
Player of the Week honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference for the
second time this season for his performance over the weekend against NC
State.

McDougall hit .538 (7-for-13) in three games against NC State
with four runs, eight RBI, five doubles, and two home runs. He went
4-for-5 in Sunday’s game (tying a school record with four doubles) and
had the game-winning hit with a two-run double in the bottom of the 12th
inning to give FSU a 6-5 win. McDougall tied Chris Smith for the team
home run lead when hit his 10th and 11th in Saturday’s game.

The senior from Valrico, FL, is hitting .360 on the season for
the No. 2 ranked Seminoles. He leads the team 61 runs scored and is
third on the team with 49 runs batted in.

FSU travels to Clemson on Friday for a three-game series with
the Tigers. Games will be played at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and
Monday.
