Tallahassee, Fla. – Senior Natalie Tirapelli (St. Petersburg, FL/Connecticut) made her final entry as a Seminole in the Lady Seminole Classic special by winning the singles flight #5 bracket. The Florida State women’s tennis team celebrated the upperclassmen’s 6-4, 6-2 win on the final day (October 31) of the only home tournament of the season.
Teammate Lindsay Deason (Ft. Myers, FL/Boca Raton Prep) played for the flight #2 singles title but fell to Baylor’s Zerna in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
FSU returns to action this weekend when they head to Atlanta, GA for the Georgia Tech Invitational. The Seminoles are also awaiting word on junior Mihaela Moldovan’s (Bucharest, Romania/Emil Racovita) in the ITA Indoor Championships event. Moldovan is the second alternate in the collegiate championships event, after making it to the final round of the NCAA South Regional Championships.
