FSU’s World Series Game Versus LSU Postponed Until Sunday

Oklahoma City, OK –
The Women’s College World Series quarterfinal between No. 4 Florida State and No. 3 LSU has been postponed due to tornado’s around Oklahoma City. Play at the 2004 WCWS will resume Sunday, May 30 at 9:00 a.m. CT when Stanford and Oklahoma resume their game. Florida State and LSU will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of that game.


There has been no word on whether ESPN or ESPN2 will televise the early games Sunday but the NCAA has said the games will be shown live. According to the latest information from the NCAA, Florida State could play s many as three games Sunday if they defeat LSU. The Tribe will then have to defeat Cal twice to reach Monday’s final. All the semifinal games are still scheduled to be played Sunday.
