FSU’s Xavier Luscan Set To Play In USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger

TALLAHASSEE, FL.–Florida State’s Xavier Luscan, a junior on the men’s tennis team, will play the No. 7 seed Robert Kendrick in the first round of the 2001 USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger today, June 5th. Luscan, a native of France, received a wildcard into the singles main draw and will take on Kendrick of the United States, ranked No. 256 in the world, as the second match featured on Centre Court after 11:00 a.m.

The No. 3 seed and defending champion, Jeff Salzenstein (USA), will start off the main draw of this year’s tournament today on Centre Court at 11:00 a.m. Salzenstein, ranked No. 185, takes on Tallahassee native Keith From, a member of the 7th-ranked Texas A&M men’s tennis team.
