Garbarino Nominated For Emmy

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
D.D. Garbarino, a senior producer at Seminole Productions at Florida State University, has been nominated for an Emmy Award by the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Science. Garbarino was nominated for her skills in producing the program “Seminole Gametime: Florida State Women’s Basketball for Fox Sports.

An Emmy Award is the highest honor bestowed on those who work in the television industry.

The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recognizes work that is done at the regional level in contrast to the Hollywood Emmys that recognizes work that has aired nationally. The Suncoast Chapter is comprised of television markets in the entire states of Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and in Puerto Rico.

“When I heard about the nomination I was in shock; I was so excited,” said Garbarino. “I know it sounds cliché but it really is an honor just to be nominated for such a prestigious award. I am extremely humbled by it.”

The 2010 Suncoast Emmy Award winners will be announced on Saturday, December 4th, in Fort Lauderdale Fla.
