TALLAHASSEE, FL — Scott Kull, an Assistant Director of Marketing at Ohio
State since November of 1994, has been hired to head the Sports Marketing
Department at Florida State University. Kull replaces Kim McWilliams, who
served as the department’s director since the fall of 1993.
At Ohio State, Kull’s responsibilities have included directing and
administering all of the marketing and promotional activities for the
34-sport athletics program. He has been involved in overseeing more than
$4 million of sponsorship, advertising and coaches show contracts and
agreements as well as generating over $200,000 of net sponsorship revenue
in each of the years from 1995-1997.
A 1990 graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio, Kull went on
to earn a master’s degree in Sports Management from Ohio State University
in 1992. He spent one year as a graduate assistant in the University of
Florida Athletic Association’s ticket office and was a Marketing Assistant
at Georgia Tech and Event Coordinator at the Georgia Dome before returning
to Ohio State.
Kull will assume his new position September 10th.
