WE Miss You, !!!!!!!

Well I believe that every great player has a great moment, and when you live you live your life great. Now Devaughn hadn’t live his long but I think while he lived, he lived great, but he loved the game of football, and as long as you live well while you alive will live great after your dead. The excimtament of football is a wonderful filling, its a game of pride, respect, conflict and intensity, so don’t dwell on the moment he’s lost, live on the moment he’s lived. prayers be with, and keep him in your heart.

I am praying for the Darling family everyday. I know it is hard, but keep your focus on the LORD and everything will be OK. I really was really looking forward to seeing the “GREAT TWINS” play together. I have been reading about them both since high school. But he will be out there in spirt.

To the family, friends, and the students at FSU, I am sorry for the loss of Devaughn Darling. It is a sad tradgedy to students at Florida State, you his family, fans, and others. I am 13 and I plan to go to Florida State for college and I will not forget Devaughn. I hope our sports teams especially football can beat florida and win the national championship just for you Devaughn and family. Our prayers go out to you Devaughn and your family!

I would like to pray for Devaughn Darling and his family as they go through this rough time. I just recently went down to Florida State University to watch my cousin, Jason Staples, play in the scrimmage and i found out about Devaughn and I was shocked that it happened and I will be keeping him and his family in my prayers.

The passage of time has helped to ease the hurt, but I don’t know if I will ever truly heal. I didn’t know any of the men personally, but I, like many others, felt as if I did. I remember the roar that rocked Gallagher-Iba when Jared Weiberg made a free throw against Kansas. It’s a nice memory. I have never seen a game in person, but Bill Teegins always made me feel like I was there. Like so many others, Bill was my window to the Cowboy teams I love so much. Some people I know knew Nate Fleming, and all had kind words. So even though I didn’t know any of them personally, this loss has hit closer to home than it originally felt. God bless them all and their families.

God Bless and Keep the Darling Family, FSU staff and student body! READ the thoughts and prayers of the people who knew Devaughn personally. WOW, it makes you think; How many lives are changed because of my very existance? A leader on and off the field, unselfish, someone who made others want to be better and try harder, an inspiration to us all! I’m inspired and have never met him before in my life, at least not yet! Question: What impact do you have on the life of those that God has placed in your path? This young man was a blessing all who knew him and those who didn’t (ME)! Nothing happens unless God ALLOWS it! (RIP#53) Yours In Christ, RJ

I did not know any of these men, but my heart fell heavy when the news was brought about. My thoughts are with their families and friends. They were fine gentlemen that contributed to OSU in many ways. These ten men will be missed.

If something good came out of this, it is that Devaughn Darling is now in a better place. My condolences to the Darling family and friends. Devaughn will be greatly missed.

As not only a devoted Seminoles fan, but as a person on this earth just like the rest of you. I feel very sad for this young man and his family. Devaughn will be missed but not forgotten. I feel as if the next season (a championship one) should be dedicated to him.

Derrick Swinski Clearwater , Florida

Happy 19th Birthay D! Miss you man.

Adriana B. (Houston, TX)
Devaughn, I still can’t believe that you are gone. It seems so hard to look at your pictures and not want to turn back the hands in time to just tell you once again that you meant and mean so much to me and everybody. Your birthday was yesterday and I tried to get the strength to go to your grave to pay you my respects, but I couldn’t. It was a sad day because while the rain poured down, I could only think of what your family was feeling. The pain is still there for everyone, especially me. Devaughn, you see us greive for you from the heavens up above, but I ask you to please help everyone find the strength to accept that you are in a better place. You and I were not close but you meant a lot to me as long as some of the people in the GC Fam. The memories will always be there. If your family and friends read this, I want them to know that God and you will give them the strength they need to keep going everyday. It is just hard to accept that you have been gone for these few months. One day we will all be reunited once again when you meet us at the gates. Devard, Dennis, Godwin, Reggie, Marques, and Teddy….look forward to every new day because now Devaughn is able to be with all of you and protect you. I love ya’ll and I always will. Devaughn…keep watching over us because now is when we need you as our guardian angel. R.I.P. I miss and love you.

The passing of Devaughn Darling brought back meomories of when I was at FSU. We lost one of our teammates, Bobby Conrad, it hit hard on all our hearts. The loss of Devaughn has sadden me as did the loss of Bobby. The University has lost a true son and he will be sorely missed by all, I’m sure!

I did not know any of the men who lost their lives in the plane crash. However, I visit this site often just hoping that they will know that a stranger truely cares. I have prayed for them and their families. May they find peace where they are and may their families know that they will see them again.

Brian Pilato (Coconut Creek, FL)
My prayers go out to the Darling family. Devaughn will never be forgotten in my mind and heart. Anytime there is a tragic loss one can look to God for his love and healing, and one can also take some comfort knowing that Devaughn is in a better place and is smiling down on us as we live our lives down here. God bless the Darling family and continue to watch over them in this time of need. I know you will always be there for them.

I know alot about loosing someone close to you that is irreplaceable. Because, about 2yrs. ago my cousin (whome was FSU’s #1 fan) was killed in a car accident. And it has been really hard to move on but now it will be easier because I know now that he has met one of his heros. But none the less we have lost him down here. So i would like to send my condolences to his family, friends, and teammates. And to
say that now you have an angel watching over you! DEVAUGHN, I MISS YOU!!

Greg Suits Wills Point, Tx
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, coaching staff and players. Life is short, and we must make the most of it while we are here. I didn’t know Devaughn but knowing FSU football, I know he must have been special if Coach Bowden had him on the team. So obviously his desire for excellence, brought him to FSU. We need to remember to Live life to the fullest, and give God the glory for everything. Tell the people close to you “I Love You”, and always strive for excellence. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone whose life was touched by Devaughn. God Bless You All!!

Because of their size and talent it’s easy to find yourself believing these boys are older than what they truly are. Truth is – they’re just boys… someone’s son, brother, boyfriend and yes, sometimes father. Physically they may be bigger and stronger but emotionally many of them aren’t prepared to handle some of the things life hands them. I only knew Devaughn in passing but I do remember his smile. He always had that to offer someone – even though he might not have known them. That alone blessed this world. I hope through this tragedy we all remember that our athletes aren’t perfect, aren’t grown and most of all aren’t invincible. They are at God’s call as well as the rest of us. My hope is for these boys to be remembered in prayer each and every day… they need it, just like everyone else.

To the darling family, i know these times are hard for any family to go through and i would be wrong to try and make any statement that would heal the loss of such a son like devaughn. however, we must always know and uderstand that god has a plan for this wonderful soul and we should always know that this great man will continue to do gods work for his family that remains here on earth. to his brother devard, always know that your brother will continue to be with you in all you accomplish in life. god bless your family and freinds.
