Georgia Holderness To Race At The World Championships On NBC At Noon

ROME, Italy.– Florida State swimmer Georgia Holderness made the semifinals of the 50 meter breaststroke at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy.  The World Championships will be shown live on NBC on Saturday, including Holderness’s heat of the 50 breast beginning at noon.

Holderness, who is representing Great Britain, finished the preliminaries in 12th position with a time 31.11.  She will be in the first heat of the semifinals in lane seven.  Right next to her in lane eight will be fellow countrywoman and former Seminole Lowri Tynan who qualified 16th (31.15).
