TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State’s Natasha Howard has been named a Third Team Freshman All-American by Full Court Press.
The most heralded recruit in the history of the FSU women’s basketball program, Howard started all 32 of the Seminoles’ games during the 2010-11 season.
She finished fourth on the team in scoring (10.6 ppg) and second in rebounding (6.6 rpg). Howard, who is a 6-foot-3 forward, was also second on the team in field goal percentage, 3-point percentage and steals.
For her exploits in year No. 1, Howard was also named to the All-ACC Freshman Team.
As a starter and key contributor for the ’Noles, the Toledo, Ohio native helped guide the team to its seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this season.
