Throughout the season, Florida State Sports Information intern Darren Sbraga will sit down with one of the Seminole softball players each week and get to know them a little closer by asking 10 random questions. We like to call it the Hot Seat, because let’s be honest, who can prepare for half of the questions Darren manages to ask? Next up is sophomore LaShaun Davis.
What is the most exciting part about playing softball at FSU?
The energy the team has and the coaches…everyone is like one big family.
Q: If a plane crashed on the border of Mexico and Texas, where are the survivors buried?
A: Hmm…. Mexico???
What are your personal goals for the season?
To do my best everyday, I want to go out there and play well, and my ultimate goal is just for the team to do well.
Does the size of your bat matter?
(laughs) It does because the heavier bats make the ball go farther.
If your teammates where characters from The Wizard of Oz, who would be the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Lion, and why?
(laughs) Ok, the Scarecrow would be Whitney (Buckmon), because sometimes I can see her being the Scarecrow because she worries sometimes, she’s always trying the hardest. I guess I’d be the Lion just because they’re the king of the jungle. The Tin Man would be Veronica (Wootson) because sometimes she’s not that nice to me. Just kidding! (laughs)
What is the scariest movie you’ve ever seen?
If you could be any wild animal, which would it be and why?
A lioness because she’s the queen of the jungle.
If you were on death row and it was time for your last meal, what would you eat?
If a plane crashed on the border of Mexico and Texas, where are the survivors buried?
You’d burry the survivors?
(laughs) Nobody is buried I guess.
If Jimmy cracks corn, do you care?
