TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State is hosting ESPN College GameDay for the sixth time this Saturday, October 11th. The gates to Doak Campbell Stadium will open two hours prior to kickoff (10:00 a.m.) with the Game Day set to be located in the northeast endzone. You must have a game ticket to enter and there will be no re-entry allowed once you have entered the stadium. The show will air from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon inside Doak Campbell Stadium.
The ESPN GameDay crew will make its fourth appearance in four years at Doak Campbell Stadium as it brings its road show to town for the much anticipated matchup between No. 5 Florida State and No. 2 Miami.
Including Saturday’s game against Miami, The GameDay crew has appeared at 18 of Florida State’s games, ranking the Seminoles second behind Florida’s 19 appearances. The first-ever ESPN GameDay appearance was at the Florida State -Notre Dame game in 1993 in South Bend, Ind.
GameDay’s appearance at Doak Campbell Stadium will mark the fifth time the show has covered the Florida State-Miami rivalry which is third among all match-ups covered behind Florida-Florida State and Tennessee-Florida which have both been the host game for GameDay six times. Saturday’s game will mark the sixth time Florida State will host the show, tying with Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee for third. Florida and Michigan are tied for first with the Gators and Wolverines hosting GameDay seven times.
