Strength & Conditioning Coach

Josh joined the Florida State Staff in July 2002 as a Graduate Assistant working with football, and was promoted to full-time in October 2003. In 2006, Hingst was appointed as Director of Sports Nutrition and retained his duties as assistant strength and conditioning coach for football.

Hingst comes from the University of Nebraska where he served as a student assistant for three years, graduate assistant for 1 year and fulfilled duties as the interim Sports Nutritionist and Head Men’s and Women’s Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coach for 6 months. While at NU he also worked with football, men’s and women’s basketball, swimming and diving, and tennis.

Josh attended the University of Nebraska where he graduated earning Bachelor Degrees in both the fields of Exercise Science and Nutritional Sciences/Dietetics. In the Summer of 04′, Hingst graduated from FSU with a Masters Degree in Sports Nutrition and became accredited as a Registered Dietitian.

Josh is a certified strength coach through both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. He is also a United States Weightlifting certified club coach.

Hingst married Rebecca Thieneman Hingst June 4th, 2006.
