Feb. 27, 2004
On Friday, Feb 27th, Kamerion Wimbley and Buster Davis, two of FSU’s rising football stars, visited Stewart Street Elementary School in Quincy, FL. The students of Stewart Street are set to take the FCAT test on Monday, so they held a pep rally in order to promote excitement and encourage the students to succeed on the FCAT.
In 2003, Stewart Street earned a “B” grade on overall FCAT performance. Teachers and staff are challenging their students to make an “A” grade in 2004. Kamerion and Buster were the motivational speakers for the event, which also featured the outstanding band of East Gadsden High School. They spoke about the importance of concentrating during their tests, eating healthy, and getting a good nights rest. The two also led the crowd of about 300 in a FCAT cheer.
To conclude the event, Kamerion and Buster were presented with framed certificates in honor of their dedication and support for Stewart Street Elementary.
