Greensboro, NC — Florida State defensive end Kevin Emanuel was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week on Monday after recording six solo tackles, two forced fumbles and a sack in Saturday’s 56-7 win over Duke. Emanuel also broke up a pass, had two quarterback pressures and made three third down stops.
Emanuel, a 6-4, 257-pound senior from Waco, Texas, leads the team with four forced fumbles on the season. He ranks second on the team with three sacks and six tackles for loss. Florida State ranks first nationally in scoring defense (7.4 points per game) and sixth in total defense (256.4 yards per game).
The Seminoles are 5-0 overall, 4-0 in the ACC, and ranked No. 5 in both polls. FSU is open this week before hosting No. 2 Miami on October 11 at 12:00 noon on ABC.
