TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
For the second year in a row, the Florida State women’s swimming and diving team has earned a top 25 ranking in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America national poll released on Thursday. The Lady Seminoles earned 23 voting points to place in a tie with Texas A&M at No. 23.

The FSU women are currently undefeated with four wins. The Lady Seminoles hold a perfect record of 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a victory over Georgia Tech. Other wins this season came against Miami, FAU and Indian River Community College.

The highlight thus far for the Lady Seminoles was a third-place finish at the SMU Women’s Classic. FSU was the only unranked school out of the six teams competing and finished ahead of UCLA, Alabama and Pacific, which were ranked at the time No. 12, No. 17 and No. 22, respectively.

The Lady Seminoles are one of four ACC schools to be ranked in the top 25. Joining FSU in the national poll is Virginia (No. 10), North Carolina (No. 11) and Maryland (No. 18).

The Lady Seminoles will be back in action on Nov. 19 when they play host to rival No. 3 Florida. The meet will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the Leach Center Pool, FSU’s indoor facility.
