TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State women’s tennis team will travel to North Carolina this weekend to face a pair of ACC opponents. On Saturday, March 23rd, the Lady Seminoles will travel to Raleigh, NC to take on the Wolfpack of North Carolina State. Florida State will face their toughest test of the year on Sunday, March 24th, as they travel to Winston Salem, NC to take on the 2nd-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The Lady Seminoles enter the weekend road trip ranked 48th in the nation and have a record of 9-9.
The Lady Seminoles enter the contest against unranked NC State with a 10-1 advantage in the all-time series record. The last Seminole win came in 2001 when Florida State defeated the Wolfpack by a score of 6-1. NC State currently has a record of 6-6 on the season.
Florida State looks to break a seven-year losing streak this weekend as they take on the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest holds the advantage in the all-time series with a record of 15-4. The Demon Deacons are currently ranked 2nd in the country and boast a record of 14-1. Wake Forest has three individual players and one doubles team ranked nationally.
The Lady Seminoles’ next match will be on Saturday, March 30th, as Florida State returns home to host the North Carolina Tarheels at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center. The match is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
