Complete list of ‘Noles post-season awards

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Lamarcus Joyner turned in one of the better regular seasons among defensive backs in Florida State history and Wednesday the senior forever etched his name in the ‘Noles record book.

With the announcement that Joyner has been named a First-Team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), the Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. native is now considered a Unanimous All-American. To earn this distinction, a student-athlete must be named to the first team of All-American lists by the FWAA, Associated Press, Walter Camp Football Foundation, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and Sporting News.

Joyner is the second FSU defender to earn unanimous status in as many years, joining former Seminoles defensive end Bjoern Werner, who acheived that honor in 2012.
