TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – The Florida State baseball lead off dinner is set for Thursday, February 16 on the third floor of the University Center Club at Doak Campbell Stadium. Festivities begin with a social hour at 4:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m.
This annual event, which is in its 27th year, represents the official start of the Seminole baseball season. Head coach Mike Martin will take the stage to introduce this year’s ball club as well as share his thoughts on the upcoming season.
Seating for the dinner is limited. General admission seating is $30.00 per person. Patron seating is also available at $150.00 which includes dinner for two with a team member. Additional patron seating is $75.00 per person. Fans interested in attending the dinner should contact Sarah Reed (850-645-8296; firstname.lastname@example.org) to register for the event.
The dinner was moved to an earlier time so fans can also attend the men’s basketball game against Virginia Tech on Thursday night. Tip-off for the Seminoles and Hokies at the Donald L. Tucker Center is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
The Seminoles will open the 2012 season at home with a three-game weekend series against Hofstra beginning Friday, February 17. First pitch on opening day is set for 4:00 p.m.
