Quoting the 2014 Florida State draft class:

Brandon Leibrandt, Jr., LHP – 6th round (172nd overall pick), Philadelphia Phillies
“It is just a great honor to be drafted by the Phillies. I look forward to what the future holds. I am just real excited right now! The Phillies were a little bit of a surprise. I didn’t think they were going to be one of the front-runners, but they called me at the start of the sixth round, we had a good talk and the rest is history.”

“At the time of the announcement, I was with my mom, dad and brother. Out of everyone I think my mom was the most excited. She went a little crazy, so I had to calm her down. But overall, I just couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

Peter Miller, Sr., RHP – 9th round (261st overall pick), Seattle Mariners
“So excited to be taken by Seattle, the Mariners are a great organization. I am definitely going to miss the guys on the team as I made some great friends. I can’t wait to start my pro career.”

Justin Gonzalez, Sr., SS – 9th round (270th overall pick), Arizona Diamondbacks
“I was really anxious leading up to that moment. Once I saw my name it felt like a thousand pounds had been lifted off my shoulders. I’m very grateful to the Diamondbacks organization for the opportunity to continue to chase my dreams!”

“I would not have gotten to this point if it weren’t for my teammates and family. I wish the best for my teammates in the coming days and years. Always, Go Noles!”
