McCreless Closes Out Career As A `Nole

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Lauren McCreless wrapped up her season and career as a Seminole Wednesday, May 26 as the senior fell to No. 5 Lenka Broosova of Baylor in the first round of the NCAA Individual Championship.

In her first trip out to the tournament, No. 22 McCreless pushed fifth seeded Broosova to a three-set nail bitter. The ‘Nole opened up the battle successfully by dominating the first set with a 6-3 victory, but was unable to keep the momentum going as she fell 6-1 in the second set. The third set saw Broosova continue governing the court by posting a 6-3 score in the third set.

As the most successful women’s tennis player in program history, McCreless leaves the squad with an impressive career singles record of 102-46 and notable doubles mark of 94-61.
