TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State third baseman Marshall McDougall garnered Player of the Week honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference after leading the top-ranked Seminoles to a 3-1 record last week, including a 12-3 victory over No. 7 Florida.
McDougall posted six hits, 11 RBIs and three home runs and batted .375 for the week. The junior from Valrico, Fla., went 4-for-8 as Florida State defeated Charleston Southern twice and tallied six RBIs, a double and a home run in the series. Against the Gators, McDougall was 2-8 at the plate with three runs scored, two home runs and five RBI.
FLORIDA STATE BASEBALL REMAINS AT THE TOP OF POLLS
The Florida State baseball team (12-1) retained its No. 1 ranking in the Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball and Baseball Weekly/ESPN Top 25 Polls after posting a 3-1 record, including a split with No. 7 Florida.
The Seminoles will travel to Gainesville for two games with Florida on Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th. It will be the first road series of the season for the Seminoles.
