TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – The Florida State men’s basketball team will host its annual honors banquet on Monday, April 14 at the University Club on the Florida State University campus. The NIT semifinalists will be honored and the careers of seniors Okaro White, Ian Miller and Robert Gilchrist will be celebrated during the evening.
The event begins with a social hour at 6 p.m. in the Osceola Grill inside University Center B where fans can meet and socialize with the Seminoles’ coaches and players. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Tom and Ginny Futch Ballroom. Following dinner, Head Coach Leonard Hamilton and his staff will honor this year’s seniors and present awards with the evening culminating in the end of the year highlight video.
Fans can come enjoy the night of celebration by registering for a banquet ticket with the men’s basketball office. The cost of ticket is $38 for individual seats. Parking for the event will be in the lot in front of University Club Center (UCC) and is free of charge.
The 2014 Seminoles advanced to the semifinals of the NIT for the second time in school history and the first time under Hamilton. With its appearance in the 2014 NIT, Florida State has made 23 postseason appearances with nine coming under the direction of Hamilton. Florida State finished its season with a 22-14 record and a 9-9 conference record, making the Seminoles the third winningest program in the ACC in the last nine years (since the start of the 2005-06 season) in total games played with 196 wins.
