The Florida State men’s basketball team plays host to the Nike Elite All-Star Team Monday Night in the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center as the Seminoles close out their exhibition season. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and admission is free to all fans.
Junior forward Anthony Richardson led the Seminoles with a game-high 19 points as the Seminoles defeated the Global Sports All-Stars, 83-68, in their first exhibition game Nov. 8. Just two points behind Richardson was senior guard Nate Johnson who scored 17 points on a perfect five-of-five shooting effort from three-point range.
The All-Stars will play their ninth game of a ten game tour as they comes to Tallahassee for Monday night’s contest. The All-Stars began its tour with an 88-86 victory over Miami (Fla.) and have played Georgia Tech (100-89 Yellow Jacket victory), Clemson (85-68 Tiger victory), Duke (105-69 Blue Devil victory) and North Carolina (104-72 Tar Heel victory) of the ACC as well as Kentucky (107-87 Wildcat victory), Georgia (79-78 Bulldog victory) and Vanderbilt (80-48 Commodore victory) of the SEC.
The Seminoles open their regular season Nov. 21 as they play host to Maine in the Leon County Civic Center. Florida State has won 10 of its last 13 season openers dating to the opening game of the 1990-91 season.
