Men’s Basketball Team Preps for Austrailian Trip

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State men’s basketball team began
preparations for its two-week trip to Austrailia on Monday night when they
participated in a 12-minute run at Mike Long Track on the FSU campus. The
Seminoles begin two-a-day practices on Tuesday then leave for a seven-game
tour on August 11.

“The run tonight really showed who worked on their conditioning
over the summer,” said Florida State head coach Steve Robinson. “I am very
pleased with the condition all of our guys came back in.”

Junior guard Matt Chlebek finished first in the run, completing
seven and three-quarters laps in the 12 minutes. Classmates Delvon
Arrington and Chris Hull finished second and third respectively.

Senior forward Ron Hale was best finished among players 6’8″ and
taller. He completed seven and a half laps. Senior center Justin Mott was
the top post player, completing six and three-quarters laps.

The Seminoles will play seven games during their 16-day trip before
returning to Tallahassee on August 27.
