Men’s Basketball to Take on Northwestern in ACC/Big 10 Challenge

TALLAHASSEE, FL — The Florida State men’s basketball team will
play at Northwestern on December 1 at 9:30 on ESPN2 in the inaugural
ACC/Big 10 Challenge, sponsored by ESPN.

The challenge, which is a multi-year agreement between the two
conferences, pits all nine schools from the Atlantic Coast Conference
against nine schools from the Big 10 on the Tuesday and Wednesday following
Thanksgiving. This season’s event will take place at seven campus sites
and two neutral courts.

The Seminoles return four starters from last year’s 13-17 team
including, All-ACC forward Ron Hale, who averaged 16.0 points per game.
The rest of the Florida State basketball schedule will be released later in
the summer.

Tuesday, November 30

Wisconsin at Wake Forest, 7:00 p.m. — ESPN

Iowa at Maryland, 7:30 p.m. — ESPN2

Duke vs. Illinois (United Center in Chicago), 9:00 p.m. — ESPN

Virginia at Minnesota, 9:30 p.m. — ESPN2


Wednesday, December 1

Michigan vs. Georgia Tech (Phillips Arena in Atlanta), 7:00 p.m. — ESPN

North Carolina State at Purdue, 7:30 p.m. — ESPN2

Michigan State at North Carolina, 9:00 p.m. — ESPN

Florida State at Northwestern, 9:30 p.m. — ESPN2
