Men’s Basketball Visits Local School

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (semioles.com) – Just one day after its big win over Florida, members of the Seminoles’ men’s basketball team took the afternoon to give back to the community. Dwayne Bacon, CJ Walker, Trent Forrest, and Jonathan Isaac traveled to Sealey Elementary to spend time with students.

The afternoon consisted of interacting with kids at the Gulf Specimen Aquarium Mobile that visited Sealey, as well as reading to kids in the school library. The team’s mission is to promote literacy, alongside the Coaching for Literacy progrea championed by Associate Head Coach Stan Jones.  . The players also stressed the importance of being positive role models to local youth, emphasizing focus and drive in school.

The day concluded with the students asking if the team had played the Gators yet, to which all players answered with resounding and enthusiastic affirmation.
