TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State men’s golf team opens its
season today in Knoxville, Tenn. at the 16-team Tennessee Tournament of
Champions. The 6,932-yard, par 72 Holston Hills Country Club is hosting
“I am looking forward to our guys getting out there,” said Seminole
head coach Ernie Lanford. “We are eager to start competing.”
Joining Florida State and host Tennessee in the field are:
Alabama, Augusta State, Florida, Furman, Georgia Southern, Georgia State,
Louisiana State, Mississippi State, NC State, North Florida, Mississippi,
South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana and Virginia.
The 54-hole tournament begins this morning at 11:00 a.m. The teams
will play 36 holes today and 18 on Tuesday.
