Men’s Golf Tied For 8th At Brickyard

MACON, Ga. –
Florida State University sophomore Brooks Koepka carded an even par 72 and is in a tie for 16th place and the No. 6 Seminole men’s golf team is in a tie for eighth place after the first round of the Brickyard Collegiate Championship at the Brickyard Golf Course at Riverside. The Seminoles are only three stroke out of fourth place and only five strokes out of second place with two rounds of the vent yet to be played.

Augusta State is the team leader after the first round of play after carding the only under par team round of the first round. The Seminoles, who entered the tournament as the highest ranked team in the event, have won two of their first three events of the fall 2009 season.

Koepka played a very consistent round with two birdies, two bogeys and 14 holes scored at par. He was one over par on his front nine and two under par on his back nine to finish at even par.
