TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Men’s Golf team tied for seventh in the season-opening Sea Best Invitational as the final round finished on Tuesday afternoon at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
Redshirt senior Cristobal Del Solar continued his efficiency all around the course, finishing 1-under overall (70-67-72) to place seventh among all individuals. Del Solar’s Top 10 finish is the eighth of his career. He was also one of just seven golfers to finish under par in the tournament.
“While the result was not up to our standards, there are always positives that you can take from every tournament,” FSU head coach Trey Jones said. “The guys prepared well going into the event. The important thing is to trust what we are doing, not look for quick fixes, and results will come.
“There is nothing more important than confidence and we are not where we need to be in that area.”
