Men’s Swimming Finishes Second at Notre Dame Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – In late action on Saturday, the Florida State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams completed their final day of competition at the Notre Dame Invitational. The men finished second behind host team Notre Dame as the women finished fourth behind Michigan, Notre Dame and Colorado State.



In the men’s action, Keam Ang won the 200 Fly as Julio Santos won the 100 Free event with Matt McVittie and Kevin Flanagan finishing 3rd and 4th respectively in the same event. Other top finishes included Bill Schultz
finishing 4th and Danny Chocron finishing 7th in the 1650 Free, Brett Petersen’s fifth place finish in the 200 Breast and Greg Main-Baillie’s fifth place finish in the 200 Back.



On the women’s side, Lisa Kirsch led with a 4th place finish in the 1650 Free as Kristen Adams finished 6th in the 100 Free. Anne Blachford and Samantha White finished 7th and 9th respectively in the 200 Breast with Sherri Fowler finishing 8th in the 200 Fly.



The Seminoles will return to action when they open the 1999 season with a home meet against ACC rival Virginia on January 9th.
