Men’s Swimming Remains in Tenth Place at NCAA’s

AUBURN, Ala. – Florida State men’s swimming and diving team remained in
tenth place after eleven events of the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving
Championships. The team completed the day with 84 total points.

Individually, junior Brendon Dedekind, following his national title in
the 50 Free on Thursday, placed fourth in the 100 Breast event with a time
of 53.70. Fellow junior Stephen Parry finished in fourteenth place of the
consolation finals of the 200 Free event with a time of 1:37.14.

The 200 Medley Relay, featuring Dedekind, Parry, sophomore Brett
Petersen, and junior Julio Santos, took eighth place with a time of
1:28.68.

Parry will defend his national title in the 200 Fly on the final day of
competition. Other events that the Seminoles will compete in on the final
day are the 100 Free and 400 Freestyle Relay events. The meet concludes on
Saturday, March 28th.
